A walk to promote more intensive tutoring between Detroit parents and their children was the talk of the Detroit Literacy Coalition’s Parent/Child Tutoring Alliance. Under the direction of veteran tutor, Elizabeth Williams, a protest march was organized between 10 and 12am down Second Ave and West Grand Boulevard on Saturday, August 16, 2008.
