Annual Detroit Literacy Coalition meeting

DLC's annual meeting was held at the church center, Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 8000 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan with Board members, staff, tutors and friends in attendance. Willie White, DLC adult learner turn MA recipient and supervisor at the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries gave an enlightening, stunning and empowering speech about his race for success in today's world. He brought tears to the eyes of many. Loretta Smith, Community Relations director at COMERICA was the special guest and honoree for service to the community.
